The Murray Dairy region is one of the biggest dairy regions in Australia and produces 22.5% of the nations milk. The critical mass that exists in the region means that the industry is very well supported with the service industries required to operate a dairy enterprise.

The size of the industry provides multiple choices on which milk company to supply, what feed company to use, what advisor to engage. The fact that there are many choices means that there is a healthy and competitive environment between suppliers of products and services to dairy farms.
