Dealing with Today; Planning for Tomorrow:
Dairy Australia secured $1.08 million from the Federal Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) to run the ‘Dealing with Today, Planning for Tomorrow’ project across the Murray Darling Basin.
Specific projects that occurred across the Murray Dairy region included:
- Taking Stock, Taking Action which provided free one-on- one advice to dairy farmers for two meetings with a consultant;
- Buying feed workshops – 7 workshops were held across the region to provide dairy farmers with information on managing the quality, supply and price risks associated with their feed purchasing.
- Climate change workshops;
- Carryover information sessions
- Cereal Crops for dairy farms workshops
- Murray Dairy Business Forum
