Feeding dairy cows profitably is critically important to all dairy farmers 
This two-day short course encourages farmers to maximise pasture consumption and then address feed gaps as cost efficiently and effectively as possible using supplements.

Topics covered include:
• The importance of getting nutrition right
• Ruminant digestion and factors that limit intake
• Condition scoring
• The cost of rearing young stock
• Nutrients supplied by different feeds
• Balancing the diet
• Feed budgeting
• Comparing cost of nutrients

All days commence at 10am and will finish at 3pm. Lunch provided.

Tuesday    10 & 17 October         Rochester area
Thursday     2 & 16 November       Kyabram area
Wednesday 8 & 15 November     Cobram area

This free course is an accredited unit of Certificate IV in Agriculture and run in conjunction with GoTafe.
